What is the US dollar rate in Libya today?

The exchange rates table on this page shows today's US dollar rate (buy and sell, cash and transfer), the euro and other currencies from the Central Bank of Libya's official bulletin, with the time of the last update in Tripoli time. Rates update automatically on CBL working days (Sunday to Thursday).

What is the difference between the Central Bank of Libya rate and the parallel market rate (Souq al-Mushir)?

The rate shown on our site is the official rate published in the Central Bank of Libya bulletin, and as a licensed exchange company Falak deals at the official rate. Parallel-market prices, such as those at Souq al-Mushir in Tripoli, are unofficial, change from day to day and are not published by Falak.

How do I book US dollars through the FCMS foreign currency platform?

Foreign currency for personal purposes is booked through the Central Bank of Libya system on the foreign currency platform at fcms.cbl.gov.ly. Falak provides dollar and foreign currency booking services to its customers and guides them through the steps; contact us for details.

Is Falak a licensed exchange company?

Yes. Falak Exchange & Financial Services is a Libyan exchange company licensed and accredited by the Central Bank of Libya, operating under its supervision with anti-money-laundering and customer identity verification programs.
